Según estudios publicados en la revista Frontiers in Pediatrics , hasta el momento, no se ha demostrado que el coronavirus (COVID-19) se transmita de madres embarazadas sus hijos al nacer.
El estudio es el segundo que se realiza en China y confirma que las
madres infectadas con la enfermedad coronavirus durante el embarazo no infectaron a sus bebés.
Según informan los autores, ninguno de los niños desarrolló ningún síntoma grave asociado con el COVID-19, como fiebre o tos, aunque todos fueron aislados inicialmente en unidades de cuidados intensivos neonatales y alimentados con fórmula.
Tres de los cuatro dieron negativo para la infección respiratoria, mientras que la madre del cuarto bebé rechazó el permiso para la prueba.
